FAQ
1. Can I use my own earrings?
Unfortunately, no. For the procedure to be done safely and properly, we must use sterile earrings made of biocompatible materials. This helps prevent infections, reactions and other complications during healing.
2. When can I switch earrings?
After 2 months, if the piercing is healing well and there are no concerns, you may switch to another biocompatible earring of your choice, such as: Titanium, Gold, Surgical steel.
3. What is the best age to pierce a baby?
There is no specific age requirement to pierce a baby. Many parents choose to wait until after the first month, when the baby is more adapted to life outside the womb and parents feel more settled into their routine. In general, the younger the baby, the easier the procedure, as older babies tend to become more active and curious, which can make the process more challenging.
4. Which piercing method is best?
Both methods are safe and sterile. The best option depends on the child and the chosen earring. For babies and kids who are afraid or anxious, the System 75 applicator is often recommended because it is very quick, everything is done in one click.
If the chosen earring does not come in a cartridge, the piercing must be performed using the needle/catheter method.
5. What happens if my baby loses the earring?
Marvelous Medical Piercing is not responsible if the baby loses the earring after the procedure. It’s always recommended to have a back up pair for eventualities.
6. What if I don’t like the placement?
If the client dislikes the placement, re-piercing can be done without an additional service fee only on the same day.
7. What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments must be canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made after this period will incur a $30 fee, charged on the next appointment.
8. Do you offer support after the piercing?
Yes. Support is provided throughout the healing process for any questions or concerns.
